POWER SURGE ORGANIZATION HISTORY SINCE 1992
The Power Surge Softball Organization began in May, 1992. The first team was a 14U team that wanted more than Rec Ball had to offer. This team did so well that those on the team decided to form an organization so more players could experience Travel Ball.
The Fall of 1992 Power Surge was up to three teams, a 12's, 14's, and 16's. The success of these teams and the organization attracted families from all over San Diego to our Power Surge organization.
Power Surge incorporated into a non-profit organization after the 1992 season making it a full-fledged organization. The primary goal of the organization is to develop competitive softball players who can perform at the highest level while enjoying a healthy, athletic environment. Another important goal is to give our high school girls a chance to be seen by college recruiters and earn an athletic scholarship. Our 18 Gold team is in all the top College Showcase tournaments.
The Power Surge organization has had many outstanding accomplishments over the years. Winning many tournaments and qualifying for many Nationals. Our girls and their parents have traveled all over the country from Hawaii to New York competing for Power Surge.
We hope that if you are reading this you have some interest in joining our organization either as a player and her family, or as a supporter. Power Surge provides a top softball climate with our excellent coaching staff and fantastic softball only facility of 4 softball only fields, batting cages, and a pitching facility.
